A large male blue shark in a split shot off the coast of Baja Mexico
Usually when we work with pelagic sharks it's rare to see a large adult. Sharks populations are being decimated by up to 98% in some cases and so they rarely get a chance to grow to full size anymore so seeing this fully grown male blue shark was an incredible surprise. He was over 3 m in length and gently circled us for hours allowing us to get close and spend time with such a veteran of the oceans.
