Whilst this image looks rather ominous, this large Mother is not aggressively protecting her young cub, but concentrating on the water between us where sockeye salmon are darting around just beneath the surface of the water. She couldn’t have cared about us, she was solely focused on catching and eating as much salmon as possible in preparation for the cold Canadian winter that was rolling in.
